The Edgcumbe Hockey Association is located in St. Paul, MN, is a member of Minnesota Hockey and District One. We are a family-oriented, affordable youth hockey program emphasizing fundamentals and fun for both the experienced and first time player.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (1390 Randolph Avenue) in St. Paul for Gregory E. Marthaler, age 19, who passed away Monday. Fr. Dan Haugan will officiate. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Greg was born Dec. 9, 1995 to Keith & Judith (Rogalski) Marthaler. He lived in St. Paul and attended St. Paul Central High School. Greg moved to Sartell and graduated from Sartell High School. After high school, he held various jobs. He became an Eagle Scout at the age of 15. Greg loved to play hockey, started at age 4. He played for St. Paul Edgcumbe, St. Paul Como/Central, Wessy Boy’s Junior Gold, and Sartell Junior Gold hockey teams. He also played baseball for Frost Lake, Linwood Recreation Center, Holy Spirit and a varsity player for St. Paul Central. He loved being with friends, snowmobiling, camping and being outdoors. Greg was outgoing, always had a smile on his face and had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his parents, Keith of Sartell and Judy of St. Paul; sisters, Amanda and Madison both of Sartell; maternal grandparents, Mary Jo & Tom Rogalski of St. Paul; paternal grandparents, Carol & John Marthaler of Osakis; and many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Greg was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Eugene Marthaler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
